Lamayuru Monastery

Day 01 : Arrival / Delhi or Culcutta : Meeting & assistance on arrival in followed by transfer to hotel for rest of the Time.

Day 02 : Delhi or Culcutta Sightseeing : After breakfast full day sightseeing of New & Old Delhi as Jama Mosque, Red Fort, Rajghat (Crimination site) Government building as India Gate, Rastrapati Bhawan (Residential Place of Indian President) & Indian Parliament. After lunch Humayn Tomb, Quetub Minar. Overnight Hotel.

Day 03 Delhi or Culcutta / Bagdogra/ Darjeeling : After breakfast transfer to Domestic airport to Connect 9W-601 Etd 1010hrs. ETA 1215hrs. at Bagdogra. Meeting and assistance on arrival in Bagdogra followed by 03 hour drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling (2,135m), was built by the British in the mid 1800 primarily an R & R center for their troops. But over a period of time it has been recognized itself as one of the most important hill stations in India. Darjeeling still has a lot of the old world charm of a typical English summer retreat. The road climbs very gradually along the tracks of the Ancient Toy Train, which was started as well by the British passing through numerous small villages and the important town of Kurseong. On arrival in Darjeeling check into Hotel. Rest of evening at leisure to explore this beautiful town. Evening Tour briefing at the Hotel by Trek Manager. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 Darjeeling : Early morning wake up around 0430 hrs and drive for about 30 minutes to see the dawn views over the Kanchenjunga (8,548m) massive and other Eastern Himalayan peak from the Famous Tiger Hill, incidentally Tiger Hill is the highest point of this area (2,540m) and is about 11 kms from Darjeeling. On return one visits the famous Ghoom monastery, which is one of the most famous monasteries in Darjeeling, it also enshrines an image of "MAITREYA BUDDHA". Return to Hotel in time for breakfast. After breakfast we commence local sightseeing, visiting Botanical Gardens, Observatory Hill, Planters Club, Bhutia Busty Monastery. Return to Hotel for Lunch. Afternoon visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the First home of the famous climber Tenzing Norgay..HMI, also has a small museum which houses all the equipment used on the First successful expedition on Everest lead by Tenzing Norgay & Sir Edmund Hillary.From here one drive to a nearby Tea Estate to get a first hand experience of the Famous Darjeeling Tea. Return to Hotel in the evening. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.

Day 05 : Darjeeling -Manebhanjang - Tonglu : The trek starts after an early morning drive about two hours from Darjeeling to Manebhanjang a small village inhabited by Buddhist Sherpas. From here one can get a view of the trekking route, which is an awesome, near vertical climb. The first camp - site is at Tonglu at 3070 meters, which is 11 kms from Manebhanjang through dense forests, and hillsides covered with wild flowers and a breathtaking mountain view of the incomparable Kanchendzonga and its neighboring peaks. Overnight at camp.

Ladakh

Day 06: Tonglu -Gairibas -Kalipokhari : Trekking from Tonglu to Gairibas at 2621 meters, Trek time 3 hrs, Approx 09 kms, Trails leads one through bamboo glades and farmlands with quaint little villages habitude by warm and friendly people. Gairibas to Kalipokhari 3170 meters is a continuous climb through the rhododendron forests. Distance is 6 Kms and it takes 3 hrs walks from Gairibas. Drive by jeep will take approx.2 hrs. Halt Overnight at Kalipokhari. Overnight at Camp.

Day 07: Kalipokhari - Sandakphu : After breakfast Trekking from Kalipokhari to Sandakphu, Trek time 2-3 hrs. From Kalipokhari the road descends to Bikhebhangang -Valley of Poison. Trek from Bikhebhanjang to Sandakphu is a steep climb of 4 kms and takes more then an hour to cover this trek.

Sandakphu 3636 meter is 58 kms from Darjeeling and commands one of the most spectacular views .In the foreground is a great basin set in the midst of the hills, the slopes covered with rhododendrons and silver fir trees.

Day 08: Sandakphu - Phalut : Resume trekking from Sandakphu to Phalut at 3600 meters , It is one of the loftiest peak in the Singalila Range and is situated at 80 kms .The stretch from Sandakphu to Phalut is the most spectacular of the trek. The burned silver fir forest makes most of the beautiful sight .A walk of 4 hrs from Sandahphu,you will come across a stone house with blown of roof on the top of a small ridge. The place is known as Sabarkum and is 14 km .from Sandakphu. Halt at Phalut. Halt overnight at camp.

Day 09 : Phalut: Full day excursion to Ridge.. Overnight in camp.

Day 10 : Phalut - Ramam : After breakfast trekking Phalut to Ramam, From Phalut the trail descends through the virgin forest of chestnut, pines, hemlock etc. till the trail reaches the meeting of two streams called Gorkhey Khola.It's a picture postcard place. One can enjoy the bath and savor midday meal. Resume trekking via Samandin to Ramam Trekkers Hut.Its about 5 hours trek from Phalut or 15-km.in distances from Phalut.

Day 11 : Ramam - Rimbik : Trek from Ramam to Rimbik, From Ramam the road is almost level walk for the first 9 km and again it descends to Sirikhola. The road rises steep, for about 1 km where it levels out again till it reaches Rimbik. Halt Overnight in a lodge or trekkers hut.

Day 12 : Rimbik - Darjeeling : Return drive to Darjeeling 4 hrs. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Phuktal Gompa

Day 13 : Darjeeling - Gangtok : Commence drive to Gangtok (1,600m)4 - 5 hours, through the heart of Sikkim. The drive is over a winding road and occasionally passes through the Cardamom plantations and Orange orchards. Enroute we stop to visit a monastery. We arrive in Gangtok by late afternoon. Gangtok, is the capital of the tiny Shangrila and is dotted with some very interesting Monasteries, The Kings Palace (which is out of bounds for the outside world) and numerous other interesting places. Evening is at leisure for one get the first glimpse of this beautiful place. Meals & overnight at Hotel.

Day 14 : Gangtok : Early morning wake up to once again witness another spectacular sunrise of the Kanchenjunga massif from Tashi view point which is located 16 kms from Gangtok. Return to hotel for breakfast followed by drive to Rumtek Monastery which is situated 24 kms from Gangtok and is the seat of the KAGYU - PA SECT of Tibetan Buddhism. This sect was founded in the 11th century by Lama Marpa, The disciple of Indian Guru Naropa and later split into several subjects. The most important of which are DRUK PA, KAGYU PA & KARMA PA. The main monastery is a recent structure built in 1960 by the GYALWA KARMAPA in strict accordance with the traditional designs of this monastery in Tibet. After visit of the monastery we visit Dodrul Chorten and Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Orchid sanctuary and Institute of Cottage Industries. Late afternoon walk to Enchey Monastery perched high above Gangtok. Evening is free for shopping and other activities. Meals and overnight at Hotel.

Day 15 : Gangtok - Kalimpong : After breakfast depart for Kalimpong (1,250m) 03 hrs, The road winds its way through the hill side following the Teesta all along the way passing through some of the most beautiful countryside in this region. Kalimpong, is a bustling and rapidly growing town, though relatively small and is set amongst the rolling foothills and deep valleys of the Himalaya. Kalimpong, attractions include Three monasteries, a couple of solidly built Churches, Sericulture Center, Orchid Nurseries, Library of Tibetan & Himalayan language Culture. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon is spent visiting this town. Meals & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 16 : Kalimpong- Bagdogra- Delhi or Culcutta : After breakfast commence 02 - 03 hour drive to Bagdogra to Connect flight to Delhi 9W-602 Etd 1430hrs Etd 1635hrs On arrival in Delhi meet to assistance & drive to Hotel. Hotel for day use near by the airport in time check out from hotel transfer to international apt.

Day 17 : Delhi or Culcutta Dep : Intime dep. transfer to international apt. End the
