Manali

Day 01 : Arrival/ Delhi : Meeting and assistance on arrival at airport followed transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 02 : Delhi/ Kalka/ Manali (315 km/8-9 hrs drive/ 2050m) : Early breakfast tour birefing by India Insight Staff after berifing followed drive & transfer train station to board train for Kalka dep 0740 hrs arr. 1200 hrs. on arrival commence drive to manali 06-07hrs a short break at Bilashpur for lunch. on arrival check into hotel for overnight.

Day 03 : Manali : After breakfast full day sightseeing in around Manali the "queen of the mountain" situated at an altitude of 2050m. (6730ft) on the west bank of the bias river, it makes an idyllic stop before heading on over the Rohtang pass the barren mountain landscapes beyond to lahaul & ladakh. this rapidly expanding resort caters for both western and Indian people. it is surrounded by lush orchards and dark forests, typical of the fertile kullu valley and it has enticing views to the north to snow-capped 6000m peaks. first we take the excursion to Naggar, 26 kms from Manali , Naggar the former capital of the kings of Kullu. perched on a mountain side, the 400 year old castle, built of weathered wood & stone is now a tourist hotel. it has several stone temples dedicated to Shiva & Nandi. later also walk up to visit the Rhoerich art gallery, situated above the village with beautiful paintings, return back to Manali en route stop to visit the village of Jagatsukh then continue drive to Manali overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Manali / Keylong /Jispa (138 km/6 hrs drive/ 3142m) : After breakfast commence drive to Jispa takes us over the mighty Rohtang pass (3998m). spend some time at Rohtang for looking the panoramic beauty of Manali valley. continue drive to Lahaul valley is quite rocky & barren & totally opposite to the lush green Kullu valley. the people of this valley are mainly Buddhists & the local society still follows the ancient culture of polygamy!!!! Keylong the capital village of this valley, Keylong is a bustling village & a very interesting market. on the other side of the hill stands the most celebrated monastery of Lahaul called Khardung. continue drive to Jispa, Jipsa is situated 20 km from Keylong in a region described by travelers as strange, exciting and primitive. set on the banks of the Bhaga river which has sufficient trout to interest keen anglers. On arrival check in to hotel. dinner & overnight at hotel.

Ladakh

Day 05 : Jispa/Sarchu (84km /m5 hrs drive/ 4253m) : After breakfast morning proceed for Sarchu (the border of Himachal and Jammu Kashmir states). Sarchu 4253 m) is inhabited by a Himalayan clan, gaddi, and a few lonely soldiers at an army outpost. On arrival check in the local camp for overnight.

Day 06 : Sarchu/Leh (251km/8-9 hrs alt 3520 m) : After breakfast commence the early start for Leh. en route stop at Upshi for lunch. On arrival check in hotel for overnight. Rest of the day leisure.

Day 07 : Leh : Fullday Sightseeing Of Shey, Thiksey, & Hemis, Shey was the old Capital and the home of the kings of Ladakh before the new capital became established in Leh the palace sits in a strategic position on a spur jutting out into the indus valley. The main temole contains a large Buddha Statue sculpted by nepalese craftmen. Thiksey, this large gompa is an impressive sight, situated on top of a craggy hill while the rest of the complex sprawls down beneath. It was founded in the 15th century by Gelukpa Monks. Hemis is famous Gompa in this area, Around 35 Km far from Leh, This Monstry has become famous because of its spectaculaar annual festival. This is the largest and richest of Ladakh's Monastry the Gompa was founded in the 17th Century and is sometimes called chang chub sang ling, The solitary bpalace of the compassionate ones' It belongs to the Kagyupa sect insight the Monastry you see the impressive image of Guru Padmasambhava which is in a Temple behind the Dukhang. Day 08 : Leh : After breakfast full day sightseeing of Spituk, Shankar Monastery, & Shanti stupa. spituk is the first gelupkpa (yellow hat) monastery to be established in ladakh. rinchen zangpo predicted that a monastery would be founded here that would set an example to other monasteries in the land this monastery built in 15th century. shanti stupa is visible from most of the town, ths new stupa was officially opened in 1985. the peace pagoda is part of the legacy of the japanese jujii guruji who as part of his mission to promote world peace through buddhism, built pagodas and temples all over the world it stand above ghanspa overlooking leh and indus valley. rest time local visit in the markets. o/n hotel

Ladakh

Day 09 : Leh/Phyang/Likir/Uley Topko : Aftre breakfast drive to Uley Topko en route visit the Likir Gompa, This is aloso belong the Gelugpa Sect (Yello Head), There is you can see the 9m hight statue of Lord Buddha. Than proceed to Uley Topko on arrival check in the Fix Camp, after short break drive to Rizong Gompa, This Gompa is laying inside one narrow gorges, The view is nice from hte boto m of the Moastery, Drive back to Uley Topko for overnight this place is near by the indus river. Overnight At Cmap With Meal.

Day 10 : Uley Topko/Rizong/Lamayuru/Uley Topko : After breakfast drive to Lamayuru, till Khalsi followed the Indus river after there followed the left turn to Lamayur, right turn is leading to dha & Beama. En route stop for verifying the Passport & another travel documents. On arrival check in fix camp rest time visit the Monastery. The monastery is set on the cleff the rock overthere Lamayuru Village. Later drive back to Uley Topko.

Day 11 : Uley Topko /Alchi/Basgo : After breakfast drive back ot painting Monastery. This Monastery built in the 11th Century it is a treasure trove of early buddhist art in the Kashmiri Tradition a style quite different from the tibetan art found in Ladakh's other Monastery. Also unlike other Gompas it is hidden down by the river rather than in the more usual elevated position, This may explain why it wasn't destroyed by the various invaders who have passed by through-Out the centuries. After visit alchi we proceeding to Basgo this is the small village en route Leh-Srinagar highway, overnight explore with the local ladakhi faimily watch the real ladakhi life enjoy with local food, folk dance/song etccc.......

Day 12 : Basgo/Leh : After breakfast drive back to Leh. On arrival check in the hotel rest day leisure for individual activities. ovenight at Hotel.

Ladakh

Day 13 : Leh : Full day leisure for visit the local market & shoping. O/n Hotel.

Day 14 : Leh/Delhi : Early morning take the flight 9W 610 for Delhi. On arrival meet the representative and drive to hotel for overnight.

Day 15 : Delhi (sightseeing) / Departure : After breakfast full day sightseeing (check-out 1200 non) later evening intime transfer to Int. Airport & connact the flight to onward destination.
